The Marlboro Church's weekly services often include large portions of congregational participation through children’s messages, special music, choir, and sharing of praises and prayer concerns. Traditional hymns and modern praise songs are a regular part of our service.
Our Pastor and our many mature believers help to guide us in our desires to serve God and be a Christ-like organization with a mission to serve our community. History The Marlboro Seventh Day Baptist Church had its beginning nearly 200 years ago when several members of the Shiloh SDB Church, Shiloh, NJ, concluded that it would be better for them to begin a separate church nearer their homes. With the Shiloh Church's blessing, on March 25, 1811, the Marlboro SDB Church met for the first time with 26 members. By 1857 there were 135 members. Three years later the present sanctuary was dedicated. During the last two centuries many changes have taken place. Our most important concern, however, is and always has been the people -- the people of our congregation, our community, and beyond. We feel a strong desire to serve others and are striving to follow God's leading. Marlboro’s Congregation includes a mix of ages and backgrounds. Many of our members are from the community around Marlboro, and several others regularly travel from farther distances to attend. With all of our variety, we have one thing in common: We enjoy worshiping, spending time together, and learning about God through studying the Bible. All who wish to learn more about God and his will for his people are always welcome to come worship, fellowship, and learn with us. |
