Congratulations Pastor Tom!

Pastor Thomas Davis (Pastor Tom) has officially been ordained! The ordination process involves an examination council made up of members from within the church and from other church members and pastors from the denomination. This Ordination Council met with Pastor Tom on Oct. 10, 2026. He shared his testimony and statement of belief. Council members took turns asking questions and Pastor Tom responded to each thoughtfully and carefully using scripture to support his reasoning. When questioning was complete, the Council convened privately to discuss two key elements. The first was whether they recommended him to the church to be ordained as a pastor. The second was whether his beliefs generally aligned with the Seventh Day Baptist Statement of Belief. The Council unanimously agreed he was. That recommendation was then brought before a Special Business Meeting held by the church held on Oct. 11, 2026. At the meeting, the church agreed and made a motion to accept the recommendation of the Ordination Council. The church voted and approved the motion. For the past several years, Thomas Davis has been licensed by the church to preach, and now he is fully ordained by the church to be a pastor. Congratulations Pastor Tom Davis!
